DESIGN

The re-design of the former Grog and Tankard was handled by Groupo 7. The brick walls are now exposed for an old-school feeling and the ceiling has skylights letting in natural light. With two large bars and high top tables for seating it’s the kind of place you feel relaxed and at home.

HISTORY

Prior to Gin & Tonic opening in September of 2008, the building housed the Grog & Tankard. Since 1968, the Grog was a legendary live music venue where national and local acts performed.
"There is no private house in which people can enjoy themselves so well as at a capital tavern... No, Sir; there is nothing which has yet been contrived by man by which so much happiness is produced as by a good tavern or inn." — Samuel Johnson
